You Want Easy Success? Well, You Can’t Have It.
But you can become a hard worker and let the wave catch you.
So you want to make a lot of money, and you want to make it your way.
You want a massive audience and raving fans.
Ideally, it would all come easy. Or at least, it would come through things that feel easy.
That’s the dream, isn’t it? To do something you love so much that hard work remains unnoticed by your rewards-seeking brain.
Newsflash: it can’t happen. Everything meaningful is made of purposeful details, late nights and tears. If you’re not a hard worker, you won’t get what you want unless what you want is very small.
I’ve always admired hard workers. The problem is, I never really was one. I’d make random efforts, and they’d give results: but doing things consistently and achieving big goals? Not my thing.
I want to make it my thing, though. I have big goals. Huge.
So. On to the question of the day. How do you take your lazy ass and make it the ass of a hard worker?
Hard work isn’t a choice.
I can’t take credit for this; I heard it in this speech by Michelle Obama.
