So, the world is ending.
Last year James Altucher said New York is dead, and it’ll never fully recover.
Just yesterday, Jessica Wildfire got me panicking a bit with her article “The Ones Who “Make It” Will Possess These 7 Super Skills”. Apparently, the skills we’ll need in the future include making our own clothes and growing our own vegetables.
Wearing clothes I’ve made is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I’m still trying to master cooking dinner.
I could ignore these, of course. Just people writing.
But I kind of see it. For the past three months, we’ve been looking to buy a second-hand small city car. The lack of decent choices is astonishing. The prices we see start at “You’ve got to be kidding me” and go all the way up to genuine laughter followed by nervous tics.
The reason? A prominent European manufacturer of a vital electronic part for nowadays cars had closed doors because of the pandemic. It’s affected the production of new vehicles, and, as a result, the prices and availability of old ones.
And it’s not just the pandemic. The UK is looking to hire at least 5000 truck drivers urgently…
