You know, this is what I told myself right before I met my husband:

“You’re 25 and you’ll probably marry the next guy you’re in a serious relationship with. So how about have fun before that happens?”

This totally changed my perspective. I went out with different people, had fun (not sex, but fun), became a much happier, lighter person, and, what do you know, I met Victor — the love of my life.

Only this time, I didn’t worry about him too much, I didn’t put all my eggs in one basket and our relationship developed naturally and beautifully.

And, as a happily married person, here’s what single people should know: being in a loving relationship is awesome, but it’s awesome in a totally different way than being single, which is also awesome.

And ideally, once you enter a happy relationship, you’ll be in it forever.
