Would you stop focusing on the fucking money! Jesus! If you want to write for money, become a copywriter. I was, I made 6 figures easily (it took time, but it wasn’t difficult).

Medium is about authors. An author wants to spread their message because they believe their message is worth spreading. I do want to make money. I want to make millions. But with the MWC, as well as with other opportunities, I focus on exposure and on experience, and on putting myself out there.

If I’m in the top 100 (even if it’s out of ~3000 stories), I won’t care about the $100, I will be ecstatic because when I submit my novel to agents, I’ll be able to mention that, and just maybe have a slight advantage over anyone else who submits.

Also, the winning stories will get a lot of eyes on them. So I think, in the off chance that I win this, what do I have to say to all those people that would help them, or make their lives or even days better?
