When to Get an Office
We live in the work-from-home age. Is an office worth it?
Have you ever had one of those moments where you wake up and there’s this voice in your head, and it’s so clear you almost look around to see who’s speaking?
It’s creepy, isn’t it, but it’s also my favorite voice in the world — whatever it tells me, it’s always true.
So a few months ago, I wake up and my morning voice tells me this:
“Get an office, man!”
And I’m like:
First of all, I’m not a man, okay? So I assume this was my voice’s way to tell me off.
Second of all, it was Sunday. My baby’s crying, I have to change him, feed him and then if he’s in a good mood, we can go to the beach. Please, God, let him be in a good mood!
So, what office do you speak of?
Plus, even if it was a workday, it doesn’t make sense. I can write from anywhere, why an office? Why the pressure of the extra expense? Why commute?
