What If You Think You’ll Never Achieve Your Dreams?

Not to worry. Belief is not a prerequisite for success.

“Whether you believe you can or you believe you can’t, you’re right.” — Henry Ford

You’ve probably heard this quote and even agree with it. It makes sense, plus it’s been reinforced again and again in popular self-help concepts. Belief rules all.

The only problem is that belief is difficult, especially if you dream big. How do you believe that you can achieve something that no one around you has ever achieved? How do you believe that you’re good enough?

We all have a problem with belief.

For most of my life, I’ve acted on the premise that belief is an important prerequisite for success, and I’ve put way too much focus on that alone: making myself believe.

Then, recently, I was shown a different path.

“There’s just no way!”

When I was pregnant, I devoured information about natural birth. I wanted to be ready for what was coming, and what was coming was big, literally. My son was born 9.7lbs.
