What I’d Be Doing If I Was Single

For all the single, childless women looking for love.

Yes, love is awesome.

Yes, it’s great to be in a happy relationship.

Yes, I’m grateful to have found my prince in shining armor.

But everything has two sides. There’s the fairytale ending and then there’s the compromise on the movie you want to see. And no, it’s not “just one movie”.

I didn’t really want to see about half the movies I’ve seen over the past 8 years.

You want to calculate that time in hours doing what I didn’t really want to do?

In a recent Stylist Magazine article, I read that single and childless women are reportedly the happiest of all.

While I do love my child and my husband, I believe that. There’s so much freedom in this way of life. So much infinite potential to work, contribute, explore, grow and have fun. What is so bad about that?

And even if you do want a family eventually, as I did, don’t you understand that once that happens, you can never go back? I mean the best-case scenario is that you find The One and are never single again. Ever.
