You can’t have an opinion on personal development.

Yes, some people still choose to ignore this “movement”, but most of western society is already in on The Secret and Tony Robbins, and modern-day psychology.

And whoever is in pretty much follows the same track.

You can do anything.

It’s on you to do it.

Face your fears.

Raise your standards.

Always aim higher.

I’ve followed that track and I’ve learned a lot from it and achieved a lot with it.

But at a certain point, that type of “growth mindset”, of “I’m responsible for everything in my life” stops working.

You hit a plateau and you don’t know how to move forward.

And because you’re responsible for everything in your life, now you feel like shit.

That’s because some common personal growth advice doesn’t work past a certain point. I reached that point about a year ago. It sucked, but I overcame it. Here’s what I found out. Maybe it will help you move forward too.
