Most of us know the basics of how to break down a big task or goal, but that’s not enough. The true power of chunking down is to break down everything you must do to its smallest components.

So small that you can eat an elephant in between your main meals and not even know it.

What’s microproductivity?

Melissa Gratias, Ph.D., a workplace productivity coach and speaker, calls this microproductivity. “Breaking tasks down helps us to see large tasks as more approachable and doable, and reduces our propensity to procrastinate or defer tasks, because we simply don’t know where to begin,” she says.

The best thing about learning to chunk down like a badass is that you suddenly open your eyes to the fact that you have all the time in the world.
