Should You Write Better Or More (If You Want To Become a Top Online Earner)
The answer may surprise you.
I asked this question on X yesterday.
Should you write better or more?
Most people thought I was trying to trick them.
Duh! By writing more, we’ll start writing better.
And yes, that’s true.
But we all know there’s a limit to how good a piece of writing can be if you’re writing it fast (so you can write more).
And there’s a limit to how many pieces of writing you can produce if they take too long.
So which is it? Here’s the secret answer:
- Write fast and as much as you can. Also, read a lot.
- Slow down to see what works. Focus on it. Learn & iterate.
- Slow down some more to write what works, but this time, write it even better. Do more research, edit 2–3 times, talk to people to learn more, and make every piece of writing perfect. Not perfect as in Pulitzer worthy — your kind of perfect.
That’s the evolution of writing. Some people stop on #1. They make 5 figures per year. Others stop at #2. They’ll make 6-figures per year and do very well.
