No, You Can't "Always Get A Job Again." But Not Because You Think.

I've heard that thrown around in multiple articles with entrepreneurial advice. "Try; you can always get a job again."

Look, I'm all for you following your dreams. I don't want you to get a job ever again. If for no other reason, all my best friends are entrepreneurs, and I'd love to have a bigger pool of potential friends. I'm selfish like that.

But if you're contemplating quitting your job, or if you've just left and are still trying to decide whether this wasn't a huge mistake, you need to hear this.

You can't "always get another job if it doesn't work out." But not for the reasons you think.

First, a disclaimer.

According to this research, there are two types of employees-turned-entrepreneurs who switch to entrepreneurship for totally different reasons. Group one is the employees who have been forced out of their jobs. They haven't willingly decided to become entrepreneurs, nor are they sure they want it.

This group is more likely to find another job after a while when faced with the difficulties of entrepreneurship.

Group two is of managerial employees transitioning to entrepreneurship because they want their own businesses. This group is more likely to stick…
