My personal way is to get lost in writing. When I write, I don’t look at the numbers of words (well, at the end I do, just for reference) and I don’t look at the time (which sometimes means I make people wait).
What I do is I think about what I’m going to write about before hand. If it’s a scene in my novel, I thin about that scene. Where are the characters? What are they doing? What are they feeling? Saying?
If it’s an article, I think about what I want to say.
When you LOVE writing, you sit down and you write.
I think the most often reason for writers block is being afraid that what you write sucks or makes no sense, or isn’t relevant, or can’t be used.
If you just let yourself write, though, I think you’ll reach parts of your brain that you didn’t know existed.
No limits, no limits at all. That’s my way. Just diving in and swimming until I get a leg cramp.
