I know what you mean! I’ve felt that way; to me, the answer was to re-adjust. I did take a “job”—rather, it’s like a part-time consultancy gig, but long term—for my former boss, and it’s fun and predictable, so I get this there. It was just a nice opportunity and I also wanted to make sure that my kids private school was covered.
But I do love my business and I’m still full on there. That’s my priority; I have a bigger vision for it than just writing and creating products.
Also, my husband and I are starting another business together, and I’m so excited 🤩 It’s something we’ve always been interested in.
It does sound like you’re happy though; and working for Medium sounds great. 👍 So whatever works for you.
Maybe if I could work for Medium or Substack, I’d consider it, too—but only if I can keep having my thing on the side.
That’s the beauty of our business—endless flexibility.
