Good point.

I think the answer lies in the “too much” part of the headline. Wanting something too much means you don’t allow it to unfold the way it’s supposed to, hence, the universe actually struggles with helping you because you’re so focused on controlling every part of it.

That’s what happens when we fear. If you’re hanging by a thread over an abyss, you’re terrified you’ll fall, you won’t let go of that thread ever.

But maybe there’s a small landing with stairs back to the top right under you.

Or maybe you need to fall down that abyss to find what you’re looking for.

And anyway, what good will that holding on do if you never move neither up nor down?

Metaphorically speaking. I’m not letting go of anything if I’m actually hanging over an abyss. :)
