When creating their website, most entrepreneurs think the difficult part is design & functionality.

The copy? Well, anyone can write, right? Especially bloggers.

Only after experiencing disappointing results do entrepreneurs stop and think about the messaging. Maybe there is something to this conversion copywriting thing after all?

The truth is, copywriting alone can’t make you successful. I always say this to my clients. You still need a good overall marketing strategy.

Yet, putting poorly written copy within that marketing strategy would be like pouring crappy oil into your engine — it would increase fuel consumption (ad spent & the time to get results) and cause severe damage to the entire system (low conversion rates & missed opportunities).

At the very least, you can fix these three most common mistakes I see in web copy written by a non-copywriter (including in copy written by other types of writers).
